Cameras are located in the Eastern Time Zone (GMT-5) and observes Daylight Savings Time. Daylight cameras are on from approximately 6 am to 8 pm.

GRAPHIC APPLICATIONS INTERNSHIP

Summary: Redesigning and updating the existing organization website.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Students applying for the Internet & Graphics Internship will be expected to work a minimum of 8-10 hours per week. A paid workship intern will be expected to work between 10-20 hours per week depending upon their class schedule. Students will be supervised by the IT and Development staff at the Perry Institute for Marine Science for work that will include:

  • General website development. Advanced graphics and design skills.
  • Website updating.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Student must be pursuing a college degree and have quality grades.
  • Required Skills: Must be a self-starter and self-motivated. Excellent computer and writing skills. Must be reliable and responsible. Accurate typing ability and data entry.
Helpful skills include:
  • Html & Dreamweaver MX & Fireworks Database experience (MS Access / MS Excel / MS Outlook) Graphics and design skills
  • Advanced software (applications to include Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, MS Publisher, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel)
To participate students must:
  • be pursuing a college degree have quality grades and recommendations
  • be able to work during normal business hours
