Summer camps for children aged 8-14 years are designed to expose Bahamian children to our marine environment, through an immersion experience in the ocean.
Through fun, interactive presentations and daily field trips, campers develop an appreciation for our marine environment and its value to the culture and economy of The Bahamas. Campers are also taught practical ways to become better stewards of our natural resources.
Campers do not need to be proficient swimmers but should be comfortable in the water.
BREEF Sea Camps are made possible with the support of members, volunteers, donors, and partners including Ardastra Gardens & Conservation Centre, Gerace Research Centre, Seacology, Kamalame Cay, San Salvador Living Jewels Foundation, Haynes Library, One Eleuthera Foundation and the US Embassy.
