Advanced Training

PIMS location and current infrastructure make it the ideal training ground for all levels of training, from entry-level scientific diving for college students through to mixed-gas rebreathers for veteran scientists and scientific divers. Scientific divers benefit from being 'immersed' in their work environment for the ideal practical application of their new training to their science interest.

PIMS is a TDI/SDI training facility, and also offers various training through other training agencies.

Programs include:

  • Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and other leadership courses
  • Entry-level and advanced scientific diver training
  • Rescue diving and accident management
  • Nitrox instruction
  • Introduction to technical diving for science and exploration
  • Trimix diving
  • Closed-circuit rebreathers
