Scientific Partners

The Perry Institute for Marine Science partner with scientists from around the world who conduct innovative research that seeks to improve the understanding and stewardship of our oceans in the wider Caribbean region and throughout the world.

Dr Alison Green is a senior marine scientist with The Nature Conservancy with over 20 years’ experience ensuring that conservation and management are based on the best available science.

Mrs. Haley-Benjamin’s educational and work experiences have allowed her to coordinate and lead numerous national environmental projects, with many demonstrating measurable conservation results.

Lindy Clyde Knowles is a conservation ecologist presently employed at the Bahamas National Trust. He is presently the senior Science Officer attached to the Science & Policy division. He has been with the BNT for the past 7 years in varying capacities.

Krista Danielle Sherman

Krista’s current research aims to assess the status, population structure and dynamics of Nassau grouper spawning aggregations in The Bahamas to better support their conservation.
