John is a Bahamian and an attorney-at-law by profession. He leads the commercial law firm of Delaney Partners and has practiced at The Bahamas Bar for more than 30 years.
He has a history of civic and national contribution, having served two stints as a Senator of The Bahamas Parliament and, between 2009 and 2012, was the Attorney-General and Minister of Legal Affairs of The Bahamas Government. Additionally, during various periods John served on the Boards of several national authorities, including the Road Traffic Authority, National Insurance Board, Bahamas Financial Services Board, and as Chair of The Bahamas Trade Commission.
John is married to Daphne Delaney and is the father of three adult children.
